Kelly Gesch is a Lead Blogger with Compassionate U contributing book reviews, and serving as the CU resident librarian. An avid reader herself, and concerned with many world issues, Kelly shares books to engage in dialogue around writing, the human condition and compassion. Kelly’s personal interests include feminism, animal welfare, and spirituality. She graduated from Villanova University with her Master of Arts Degree in English Literature and the College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Andrea Nelson, Lead Contributor -Taste of Compassion and The Goods on the Goods
Andrea Nelson is a Lead Blogger with Compassionate U contributing monthly recipe and product reviews. With her passionate interest in personal health and wellness, Andrea gives amazing guidance and suggestions for living according to compassionate values. Andrea currently works as the Business Manager for Cygem, Inc. in the Akron, Ohio area. She graduated from the College of Wooster with her Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2005.

Shawn Sweeney, Principal Contributor and Founder, Shawn’s Journal
Shawn Sweeney works with the Compassionate U team as the Managing Editor and Principal Blogger. He works for the Jane Goodall Institute as a National Program Coordinator for Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, the Institute’s global environmental and humanitarian youth program. Shawn is currently completing his Masters of Education with the Institute for Humane Education and graduated from the College of Wooster in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Conservation Psychology. Rebecca White, Graphic Designer and Lead Contributor
Who is Rebecca? That’s a question that she has been trying to answer herself for years. Rebecca is a daughter, student, writer, artist… the list goes on! Most importantly, Rebecca is on the way to becoming who she wants to be. Her friends call her an encourager. She strives to help others through compassion and faith. Being an artist and writer is not just a dream for Rebecca, it’s part of who she is. Rebecca contributes to the Ask Mom section of CompassionateU and to the web design and development of the site.
Compassionate U is a place where young adults—graduate students, new professionals, everyone—engage in conversations and dialogue about what it means to be compassionate; what it means to exercise our innate human sense of compassion.
